Hurrah! We have just entered out 6th year of running scheduled Magento Merchant courses. Not even Magento themselves have been running them that long. I feel like an old veteran, but I don’t look it – trust me, my youthful complexion is a wonder to behold (Yeah right!).
Over this time, we have had the privilege of not only delivering to some of the biggest Magento merchants out there but also, and just as importantly to us, to the many independent ecommerce stores who are running successful stores but without any significant budget. We salute you all in your pursuit of excellence.
Things that make us very proud of the training we have delivered over this time -
- We only do training! Unlike some Magento training providers who are often part of a development agency our focus is purely training, we have no ulterior motive such as getting you in for training so we can prime you with our core services. Training, consultancy and helping you to help yourself with Magento and ecommerce. That is all we do.
- We take merchant training seriously, but with some fun thrown in. You will be trained by a Magento Certified Solution Specialist who has the first-hand experience of running a Magento store.
- We now have 3 Magento Certified Solutions Specialist on our team and delivering quality training.
- Training is not an afterthought for us – in fact, we believe that anyone who has access to your Magento admin panel should have at least the basic training by some who is sympathetic to the fact that not all users are initially comfortable with the admin panel. The Magento admin panel is a confusing place for novices, we understand that.
- We have many delegates who attend our courses who have lost faith with their solution provider. This could be a small independent solution provider through to one of Magento’s prestigious gold partners (yes, seriously). We have help to improve that relationship and mend bridges – and where appropriate we have recommended clients move to a new solution provided – we would rather do that and keep them on the Magento platform that sends them to a rival and inferior ecommerce product.
So what have we achieved in this time?
We have now trained over 500 individual merchants. Some of these merchants were about to abandon Magento for another platform before we came along and helped them. Many of them have gone on to see massive improvements in their store and the client solution provider relationship.
We have delivered 160 days of onsite training under our belt. We have come to the client and delivered a combination of training, consultancy and troubleshooting. In most cases we have found ways to save clients more money that the cost of the training through efficiencies and releasing resources that can focus on more productive tasks.
Last year we started delivering training in the USA. The same quality training, delivered by Magento Certified Solution Specialists to merchants throughout the United States. We have already delivered 5 scheduled courses, 20 days of onsite training and trained 30 merchants!
2016 will be without doubt our most exciting year yet:
- The release of Magento 2 opens up huge new challenges and opportunities. We are well on our way to delivering the first Magento 2 Merchant course in the UK.
- We are a sponsor at Magento Imagine 2016 in Las Vegas (come see us during registration, we will have plenty of swag!)
- We now offer one to one Magento training so you can be trained/ receive consulting from the comfort of your own desk!
- We are now starting online Magento master classes! Deep diving into specialist subjects that matter to merchants.
- and we are about to release our first extension which we believe will be the biggest change to how merchants will learn to understand their Magento store.
