Magento Live Conference is coming to London!

Keep the 13th November free in your diary as London will be the location for the very first Magento Live Conference. I believe this is a must attend event for anyone who is involved in Magento or runs a Magento store.

Why? Last year a similar event was held in London called Meet Magento. It bought together the best Magento solutions partners, industry partners and experts along with merchants (from large and small stores). Held at the Queen Elizabeth II conference centre in the heart of Westminster these business exchanged ideas, listened to talks from some of the most respected people in their fields and made contacts. It was also a great chance to meet the people who made Magento happen and are responsible for its meteoric rise to become the most widely used ecommerce platform on the planet (possibly the universe, but some additional research is required there). To top it all off afterwards there was a great after show party laid on.

For me the event highlighted what a great community, vendors and developers there are that surrounds Magento. This is often referred to as the Magento ecosystem but what I can tell you is that on the whole it consists of passionate and professional people who are committed to the long term success of Magento. For you as a Merchant this is great news.

Some of the highlights of last years Meet Magento event included:

Sweet Tooth, the customer loyalty experts insightful presentation on cross channel customer loyalty and the importance of using Net Promoter Scores(NPS) as a Key Performance Indicator on your ecommerce store. A great watch with some good examples of organisations making customer loyalty work.

How about Neil Hamilton of customer personalisation experts Predict Intent? Showing the customers who arrive at your webstore the content that is important/ relevant to them could greatly improve your sales conversion rates. In this video Neil explains how you can put this personalisation right at the heart of your Magento commerce store.

And for those of you looking for a checklist of things you should be doing or consider doing on your ecommerce store there was Roger Willcocks of Screenpages with his top 50 tips to increase visitors and conversions.

This is just a sample of the many great sessions that day. A full list of videos can be found here.

At the time of writing this there are still early bird tickets available for the event - The price includes the full day, lunch and refreshments plus access to the legendary Magento after show parties!

If you are a merchant who has a Magento store, or perhaps you are thinking about getting a Magento store I would urge you to invest the time to come to this event. I will be telling all my past delegates to go simply because you will rarely get an opportunity to mix with so many people who are expert, helpful and passionate about Magento.

If you do come down why not attend our Introduction for Magento Merchants 1 day course that is on the day before, it will give you the foundation knowledge to ensure you get the best out of Magento Live. Check full details here.
